Distributed Computing with Hadoop

Distributed computing is frequently discussed within the computer industry, and many companies are looking at new ways to implement this type of computing to build their business and increase productivity and efficiency. Hadoop is an open-source programming framework that allows users to create applications that take full advantage of this kind of distributed computing.

Hadoop was inspired by Google’s MapReduce, a program that works by dividing applications and data into smaller fragments and then distributing them to the different nodes within the cluster of computers. These nodes also use a distributed file system to provide greater bandwidth across the cluster. Hadoop continues to develop, and currently it will allow you to deal with thousands of nodes and petabytes of information.
