Organization of the Mormon Church
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was officially organized on April 6, 1830. It was revealed to Joseph Smith, Jr., that April 6 is the actual day of Jesus Christ’s birth. Thus it was symbolically chosen as the day for His gospel to be restored in its fullness for the last time. Mormon Doctrine teaches that Jesus Christ has a much more active role and relationship in our lives than most people believe. Mormon Doctrine helps people draw closer to their Savior and apply the atonement in their lives in a daily, effective way. The fullness of the gospel will never be taken away from the earth again.
